P0325 on a Ford: Causes, Fixes & Repair Cost
๐ Moderate severity ยท drivable
You can drive, but the engine runs with reduced timing protection and fuel economy may drop, so have the knock sensor checked soon.
What P0325 means on a Ford
On a Ford, P0325 means the knock sensor on bank 1 is not sending a proper signal to the engine computer. The sensor lets the computer adjust ignition timing to prevent engine knock, so a bad circuit leaves the engine without that protection.
Is P0325 common on Fords?
P0325 is seen on Fords with higher mileage, especially F-150, Explorer, and Escape models. Knock sensor failure and wiring harness damage near the sensor are the common causes, and on V8 and EcoBoost engines the sensor can be tucked under the intake.
Commonly reported on: F-150, Explorer, Escape, Fusion.
