P0341 on a Lexus: Causes, Fixes & Repair Cost
๐ Moderate severity ยท drivable
You can usually keep driving a Lexus with P0341, but rough idle or hard starting is possible, so get it checked soon.
What P0341 means on a Lexus
On a Lexus, P0341 means the engine computer sees a camshaft position signal from bank 1 that is outside the expected range. The sensor works with the VVT-i variable valve timing system to time fuel and ignition. When the reading drifts, you might notice a rough idle, hesitation, or a hard start.
Is P0341 common on Lexuss?
P0341 is not one of the most common Lexus codes, but it does appear on higher-mileage ES, RX, and IS models as the cam sensors age. Oil contamination in the connector and worn VVT-i parts are the usual causes. Most Lexus engines keep running fine while the light is on.
Commonly reported on: ES, RX, IS, GS.
