P0430 Code: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

What P0430 means

The downstream oxygen sensor on bank 2 shows the catalytic converter isn't cleaning exhaust efficiently. It's the bank 2 version of P0420 — same problem, opposite side of the engine.

Yes — it's the same problem on the opposite cylinder bank. P0420 is bank 1 and P0430 is bank 2, which simply refers to the side of the engine containing cylinder 1 versus the other side.
